WealthLens

Make room for what you are saving toward

Give a planned purchase or emergency reserve a target and track the amount you have earmarked for it. WealthLens savings goals are a planning record alongside your accounts. They are not a savings product, a deposit account or an investment service.

Set a target you can recognize

Create a goal with a name and target amount in your base currency. Record contributions as you decide to earmark money, then review the goal detail to see its progress. A clear name such as emergency reserve or replacement laptop makes the plan easier to distinguish from everyday spending.

Earmarking does not move money

A goal contribution never changes account balances, income, expenses or a category budget. If you actually move money between accounts, record a separate transfer. If you buy something, record an expense. This distinction keeps the savings plan from counting the same movement twice.

Read the remaining amount honestly

In the fictional example, 60,000,000 VND earmarked toward a 100,000,000 VND reserve is 60% progress with 40,000,000 VND remaining. The displayed account balance stays the same. Reaching a target describes the plan you recorded; WealthLens does not verify funds held by a bank or promise a financial outcome.

Why did my balance stay the same after contributing?

Contributions are earmarked planning amounts. They do not withdraw, lock or transfer real money and do not create a ledger expense.

Is this an interest-bearing savings account?

No. WealthLens is a tool for recording and managing personal finances. It does not hold funds, calculate bank interest or recommend investments.

What should I record when I spend the saved money?

Record the actual purchase as an expense in the relevant account. Review the goal separately so your plan reflects the new situation.
